Step One: How to Set Up Your Zoom Account

Introduction

  • Any faculty, staff, or student with a valid Notre Dame NetID has access to a Zoom account.
  • You must set up your Zoom account before you can download and use the software.
  • You must use your Notre Dame NetID (i.e. @nd.edu e-mail address) for Zoom.

  1. Navigate to www.zoom.us
  2. In the space provided enter your valid ND Net-ID / email address and click “Sign Up Free” to continue
  3. You will receive the dialog box to agree to Zoom’s terms and conditions. Click on “Sign Up.”
  4. You will be briefly notified that an email has been sent to you.
  5. Open your Notre Dame email account and the email from Zoom.
  6. Click on the “Activate Account” box
  7. You will receive the Zoom account activation screen. Enter your name, password and confirmation of password in the text boxes and click “Activate”
  8. You have been successful in activating your Zoom Account!
