Here are the results of the first GLLL weekend at Notre Dame:
(5-2) MICHIGAN – HOLY CROSS
(6-3) NOTRE DAME – MARQUETTE
(8-2) MICHIGAN – MARQUETTE
Now we have a win under our belts heading into our two games at Holy Cross on April 6!
We hope our family and friends enjoyed the game, and we hope the other teams had a good time coming out to campus. Let’s keep going strong!
Today’s the day.
Not only are we hosting our first game of the season against Marquette, but it will also be the first time we are a GLLL weekend host. We will host three games in total, with the following schedule:
3/23 SAT @ NOTRE DAME (Riehle Fields)
1:00 PM MICHIGAN – HOLY CROSS
2:15 PM NOTRE DAME – MARQUETTE
3:30 PM MICHIGAN – MARQUETTE
Make sure to arrive at the Riehle Fields by 1:30 PM to warm-up before our game.
We also have friends of the team taking some game pictures (even though we don’t have our nice new helmets yet).
Family and fans, come cheer us on to victory! Team, beat Marquette!
Our community service event for this year will be joining the Rec Sports Relay for Life team. It’s a fun event and a great cause!
The event begins April 12th at 6 PM in the Compton Family Ice Arena.
The team we are joining is called “Rich’s Rec-ing Crew” and is named in memory of Rich O’Leary, a former Director of RecSports who lost his battle with cancer in 2009. He was also the club lacrosse coach back in the ’70s and ’80s, and the first coach when they transitioned to varsity.
Everyone should sign-up, and once you do urge your family and friends to donate to our team. Registration involves a $10 donation, but it is for a really good cause.
Sign up process:
- Click “Join an Existing Team”
- In the search bar, input “Rich’s Rec-ing Crew”
- Click “Rich’s Rec-ing Crew” then click the “next” button on the right side of the page
- Fill out all of the necessary information. It’s a minimum $10 donation. If you want to pay later, click the second radial button.
- Complete the rest of the registration, and you’ll be set to go!
If you have trouble registering, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have questions specific to our club, email: email@example.com
Welcome back from Spring Break! Get ready for some real lacrosse this weekend.
To prepare for Saturday’s season-opener (get pumped), we are going to try and find time for practices this week.
Weather permitting, we will have two practices at the Riehle fields by the Stepan Center (where we practiced in the fall) on Tuesday and Thursday each from 4:45 – 6:45 PM.
We are also looking into the possibility of a Friday practice or night practice in Loftus, look for an email about that possibility sometime soon.
