St. Michael’s Laundry Invites You to Drop Off Food Donations

Posted on January 23, 2012 in All

Looking for a Holy Cross Harvest collection barrel for food donations?  St. Michael’s Laundry & Dry Cleaning invites you to stop by and add your donation to their barrel at their Main Plant behind Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, on Juniper Road.

“We asked that our barrel be placed at our front counter customer area for the convenience for our employees,” says Robin Kramer, associate director, “and for the best exposure to entice our wonderful customers to help by bringing a donation in with them when they come back to pick up their dry-cleaning.  We  have high hopes that we will be successful with this very worthwhile cause!”

Don’t forget–St. Michael’s has monthly specials:

Holy Cross Harvest Becomes Part of Neighbors in Need Food Drive

Posted on January 10, 2012 in All

Did you know that the Food Bank of Northern Indiana distributed enough food in 2011 to fill every seat in Notre Dame Stadium with 600 pounds of food?

This year, from January 23 – February 14, the University of Notre Dame, St. Mary’s College, and Holy Cross College will join other South Bend colleges and universities as a part of the Neighbors in Need food drive for the Food Bank.  The first Holy Cross Harvest in 2010 collected more than 6,600 pounds of non-perishables and $2,700.00 in monetary donations.

Community food drop locations will be available at the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore and the Hammes Bookstore and Romy’s Café at Eddy Street Commons during the Holy Cross Harvest collection.
