Saturday afternoon, at 5:00, people poured into Arlotta Stadium to witness the #3 ranked Fighting Irish take on perennial powerhouse Syracuse in the final Big East game of the year. The Irish had yet to lose a conference game, and went storming out to a 4-0 lead in front of over 4,500 people. However, Syracuse showed why they are consistently a top ranked squad, and fought back to make it 4-2. After a slow first half, the scoring really ramped up in the second half. While the Orange made a decent run on the Irish, the best team in the Big East proved too strong, and Notre Dame wrapped it up 8-6.
