Student Discussion on “Contraception Mandate”

Coffeehouse to Discuss HHS Mandate & Conscience Formation:

There has been a great deal of discussion about conscience in the Catholic Church over these past few months, especially following the announcement of the Health and Human Services’ “contraceptive mandate.” We hear questions like:

• What does conscience have to do with insurance?
• How does being Catholic make a difference?
• What does this have to do with me as a college student?

On this coming Monday, April 2, from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Geddes Hall Coffeehouse, there will be a coffeehouse discussion on questions like these. The discussion will be led by ND theology professor David Clairmont and is being cosponsored by a coalition of campus organizations (including Campus Ministry, the Center for Social Concerns, the Center for Ethics and Culture, the Gender Relations Center, the Institute for Church Life, and the University Life Initiatives office.) We need to hear your voice in this important conversation, so please join us at 7:00 on Monday!
