OIT Project Process Training Sessions

Greetings! I’ve included an invitation for training from the Director of the OIT PMO, Sherry Morrill.

The PMO team will be hosting a 1/2 day OIT Project Process Fundamentals training session on Thursday, September 27 from 8:15 am – 12:00 pm. This session is a requirement for OIT staff to earn their Notre Dame Project Management certificate. There is a prerequisite 1 hour OIT Project Process Overview training session that must be taken in advance. We are offering two OIT Project Process Overview sessions for you to choose from: Monday, September 17 from 10:00 – 11:00 am and Thursday, September 20 from 9:00 – 10:00 am. We ask that you attend one of these sessions prior to the 1/2 day training session on September 27.

I highly recommend this project management training for all staff who manage IT projects or serve on project teams. We’ve received very positive feedback from past sessions. This training provides an orientation to the ND OIT Project Management Process. You will learn the tools and processes to help ensure your projects are successful. We also cover how to update project information in Innotas/PPM Pro, our project and portfolio solution. In addition, the project process from initiation through project closeout will be covered.

If you are interested in learning more about the OIT Project Process and ways to improve project delivery and customer satisfaction, this training is for you! You may sign up in Endeavor. Search for “OIT Project Process” in Endeavor to find the course offerings.

Excited to be a PSL

As some of you already know, the PMO has been restructuring the Project Services Lead (PSL) assignments in light of the addition of Keith McIndoo and myself and the promotion of Michelle Johnson to a manager position. I am looking forward to working with you as your PSL. Those who are leading active projects will be having a transition meeting with myself and your previous PSL (many of these have already occurred) in the near future.

Regardless of managing an active project, I am at your disposal for conversations or consultations on any of the following topics:
  • ND OIT Project Process
  • Project Management Tools / Templates
  • Time Tracking in Innotas
  • MOB tracking or modification / creation of MOB projects in Innotas
  • Review of project documents (in any stage of the project process)
  • Questions or Issues with Innotas
  • Star Trek vs. Star Wars
  • PMO Project Metrics
  • Project Methodologies
As your PSL I am also able to unlock time sheets for you should an error need to be corrected after the timesheet has been submitted.

My PSL assignments are all of User Services; CITS – Auxiliary Operations; CTS – Platform Services, CTS – SLT; ITSD – Product Services. The full list of PSL assignments is available on the PMA site at

I’m looking forward to working with all of you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if there is anything I can do to assist.
