Presenting Ugandan mosquito research at ASTMH 2017

After a great first couple of days networking and attending talks, I finally got a chance to talk about my work: why I think the malaria mosquitoes on the Ssese Islands in northwestern Lake Victoria, Uganda are genetically different from all of the others. I was pleasantly surprised when my Ugandan collaborator, Jonathan Kayondo from UVRI, tapped me on the shoulder. I had no idea he was even at the meeting!
