Micro-fiber coating can be sprayed/taped over engineering surfaces. It functions to trip laminar flow to turbulent to reduce drag (like a dimple on a golf ball) and to reduce flow separation. Scientific questions arise from the correlation between the micro-fiber structures and boundary layer flow.
