Soprano Samantha Osborn is a first year voice student in the University of Notre Dame’s Master of Sacred Music Program, studying under Dr. Stephen Lancaster. She recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, where she studied Vocal Performance with Georgine Resick. Samantha’s experience includes recital, concert, and dramatic settings; as an undergraduate she performed two degree recitals and sang three principal roles with Opera Notre Dame (most recently as Blanche in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites). Last fall, Sacred Music Notre Dame featured Samantha as a soprano soloist in Morton Feldman’s Rothko Chapel, Ignacio de Jerusalem’s Los Maitines de Nuestra Señora de la Concepció, and George Frederick Handel’s Messiah. This spring Samantha will sing in Vivaldi’s Gloria, Haydn’s Kleine Orgelmesse, and her first year Master’s recital, which will feature works by Buxtehude, Gratiani, and Britten.
