Club President:

Madaket Chiarieri

Madaket is a senior Business Analytics major with a minor in Sports, Media, and Culture. She has been involved with Sports Analytics Club since her freshman year, working with both men’s hockey and men’s lacrosse analytics. Outside of the club, she also works as a student manager for the men’s lacrosse team. Madaket has interned at Major League Baseball and the Chicago Blackhawks, as well as participating in this past summer’s class of fellows with Women in Sports Tech. She hopes to continue working in sports upon her graduation this fall.

Connor Casey

Connor is a sophomore Business Analytics major pursuing a minor in Finance. He has been with the club since freshman year, working with men’s soccer and baseball analytics. Outside of the club, he works as a student manager for the football team and director of operations for an IDEA Center sports card startup (Break’n Bad). He hopes to work in consulting upon his graduation in May 2026.

Academic Advisor:

Martin Barron

Martin is a teaching professor of IT, Analytics and Operations at the University of Notre Dame, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Machine Learning, Sports Analytics, and Human Performance Analytics. Prior to joining the Mendoza faculty, Martin worked in the Dublin-based sports analytics company Kitman Labs. In this role he served as a data scientist developing machine learning pipelines, researching analytics approaches and collaborating with elite sports teams on projects in the areas of injury prevention, performance maximization, player growth and maturation, and strategy analysis. Prior to that Martin served as a data scientist in the Dublin office of EY, a global professional services company, working in the fields of accounting automation, survey analysis and statistical consulting. Martin received his master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics. His research focused on the development of statistical methods for the analysis of next generation single-cell RNA-sequencing data. Martin received his undergraduate degree at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, in Economics and Mathematics.
