Student Participation and Audience Interactivity

One of the defining and most original characteristic of the Dante Project  is its emphasis on the participation of students, not only as assistants, but also co-creators in the production. Among their contributions we will find examples of interactivity of the sculptures with the audience, meditation cards conceived and designed by the students, and of course, the singing and acting throughout the event.

The audience  is also a co-creative force,  as it shares in Dante’s experience by being there with him in Inferno, promenading with him in Purgatorio and finally , even playing improvised music at the entrance of Paradise.

At all times the events in “Journeying the Commedia” immerse the audience in sights and sounds. The spectator is also  the central participant in the drama.
