Section 9. The duties of the Vice President, Events & Programming shall include:

  1. Collaborate with the President on creation and execution of innovative events that would drive AGC’s mission within the ND community such as the Annual Africa Conference.
  2. Maintain relationships with other Notre Dame Clubs with respect to event coordination.
  3. Seek and identify University and external partnerships that would increase awareness and involvement in AGC’s programs and activities.
  4. Thorough event planning and implementation of events. This includes professional panels, cultural events, treks in collaboration with other Universities or business schools and other innovative activities as may be suggested by the Membership.
  5. Work together with VP, Finance & Sponsorships to create budgets and timelines for each event / partnership in a bid to raise and allocate funds appropriately.
  6. Liaise with the Executive Board on strategies for creating awareness and promoting the Club’s events e.g. annual conference within and outside the Notre Dame community.
  7. Plan fundraising events and maintain regular correspondence with sponsors for events.
Section 10. The duties of the Vice President, Career Development shall include:

  1. Resume vetting and walk-through on the entire recruiting process (elevator pitches, training on how to network & handling information sessions, technical, case and mock interviews).
  2. Collaborating with the Center for Career Development and relevant GSU / MBAA / SBA Officers on possible activities or events of interest such as recruiting events, networking events, professional development workshops, etc.
  3. Searching and sending out postings on employment and other career opportunities to members.
  4. In conjunction with the President, create other innovative ideas that will help the members particularly international graduate students succeed amid visa sponsorship restrictions and emerging markets background, for instance.
  5. Liaise with the International Students & Scholars Affairs (ISSA) Office to educate members on immigration related processes that accompany career pursuits.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with the Corporate organizations and seek potential partnerships that will benefit members.

Article VI. OFFICER ELECTION/IMPEACHMENT:
Section 1. All Club Officers shall be elected before April 1 and will serve a term of May 1 to April 30. The time between elections and April 30 shall serve as a transition period for new officers, whereby the term of the current officers shall end, and the newly elected officers’ term shall begin. All current student members shall be eligible to vote.

Section 2. Officer elections will consist of the following three step process: Nominations, Elections, and Run-Off Elections (where applicable).
