There are two 35-minute exams, each with two parts.<\/p>\n

  1. Media language<\/strong> (60%) – multiple choice questions about specific textbook chapters. To prepare for these questions read the assigned chapters in the textbook and study the digital flashcards available through Quizlet<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Media critique<\/strong> (40%) – an open-book essay about a media sample. Following the critique guide<\/a>, you explain what was done well and how it might be improved. <\/span>To prepare, review your notes from in-class critiques and the material on the class website.
