Isabel Thompson is from West Michigan and began at the University of Notre Dame in the fall of 2023. In the Corcelli lab, Isabel is studying the energetics and stability of RNA hairpins through enhanced sampling molecular dynamics folding simulations. Outside of lab, Isabel likes to be active, including doing hot yoga, hiking, lifting, and cycling. She also enjoys spending time with her border collie, Lance, gardening, and visiting art museums.
