CST\u00a0Alumni\/Alumnae Project<\/strong><\/p>\n This work is dedicated to examining what the alumnae\/alumni\u00a0of Catholic colleges and universities have learned about the\u00a0Catholic social\u00a0tradition. What can alumni\/ae teach our institutions about building, modifying,\u00a0or sustaining opportunities in the development of what might\u00a0be called Catholic\u00a0social learning?\u00a0How can such\u00a0understanding help current college educators foster the creation of a\u00a0hope-filled future\u00a0that enables\u00a0students and graduates to more fully integrate CST into their lives?<\/p>\n We will\u00a0address such questions first through qualitative research, interviewing\u00a0graduates of our home institutions. We will integrate existing and new\u00a0empirical research in this domain. Our outcomes will include articles in\u00a0academic journals and Catholic publications, including concrete ideas and\u00a0recommendations to share with institutions about what more can be done to\u00a0instantiate CST in their structures, procedures and practices.<\/p>\n Edited Book and Campus Presentations<\/strong><\/p>\n Jennifer Reed Bouley and Bernard Prusak are editing a book entitled Catholic Higher Education in Light of Catholic Social Thought: Critical-Constructive Essays<\/i>. The book is under contract with Paulist Press and scheduled to be published in spring 2022. The volume will provide resources for faculty and staff development and board formation. Chapters will apply the lens of Catholic social thought to various dimensions of the enterprise of Catholic higher education in the United States: for example, changing student demographics, the ecological crisis, race and inclusion, and the role of the liberal arts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Contributing authors are available for campus presentations on their topics of interest.
