I encourage prospective graduate students with outstanding qualifications and an interest in the research areas highlighted on this website to apply to work as part of my research group. If you would like to apply, please be as specific as possible about the research topic you would like to pursue. In some cases, I will have funding to support research on particular projects.
If you are interested in potentially joining our research group as a graduate student, please contact me by email well in advance of the December application deadline for our PhD and Master’s programs in Sustainable Development. To start a conversation, prospective applicants should send the following materials to me by email:
- A cover letter outlining:
- your research interests,
- the kind of project you might want to do in graduate school, and
- your short- and long-term career goals.
- A curriculum vitae/resume summarizing your work and academic experience.
You may also send information on your university training (e.g. unofficial transcripts or list of classes and grades) and a writing sample that demonstrates your ability to assimilate complex ideas and information (e.g. report, published paper, thesis, or class research paper).
If it seems like you and our group might be a good match, I will be in touch with you to set up a phone conversation and, possibly, an in-person meeting.
Thank you for your interest! I look forward to hearing from you.
