Dylan Hooshi

I am a Junior in the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Strategic Management with a minor in Theology.

Background & Athletics

My foundation is built on competition. Before transitioning to business, I was a Division I Fencer for the Fighting Irish. My career was defined by early execution: at 13, I was one of the youngest Americans to fence in a Grand Prix. By 17, I had secured a Bronze Medal at the Pan American Championships and a Silver Medal at the Junior Olympics. In recognition of these achievements, I was formally honored with a Proclamation from the New York State Senate.

Business & Strategy

Professionally, I operate as a technical strategist. During my time in Wealth Management at UBS and Equitable, I moved beyond standard analysis to participate in institutional meetings, evaluating equity pitches and synthesizing corporate strategy for senior advisors. Adopting the proven research standards I mastered in these roles, I utilize tools like CFRA, Value Line, and Morningstar to drive my personal capital allocation, where I execute a multi-strategy approach targeting asymmetric risk-reward scenarios.

Ventures & Philosophy

I am a co-founder of two early-stage ventures. While the core proprietary logic remains in stealth, I direct the strategic architecture for both platforms:

  • FinTech: Architecting algorithmic frameworks to mitigate decay in leveraged ETFs.
  • Preventative Health Intelligence: A predictive data engine designed to identify early risk indicators, improving long-term health outcomes.

Deeply aligning with the Mendoza ethos to “Grow the Good in Business,” I believe in building ventures that solve genuine problems. My approach is grounded in studying market history—from the Dot Com bubble to the 2008 crash—to understand why companies fail and how to build systems that last.

Personal

Outside of academics, I am a high-end automotive enthusiast. While my time for track driving has paused during my studies at Notre Dame, I remain an avid fan of motorsport (F1, Rallye, NASCAR). I also play pickleball and golf. Coming from a Persian, French, and Chinese background, I value diverse perspectives in both business and life.
