Getting Here

The University of Notre Dame is surrounded by the city South Bend, Indiana, to the southeast of Lake Michigan.

  • South Bend International Airport (SBN), is approximately 15mins by car from campus. A Uber ride usually costs around 15-20 dollars.
  • South Shore Line (SSL) Train station is located at SBN. The South Shore Line train runs regularly everyday between Millennium Station in Chicago, and the South Bend Airport. The ride takes around 2 hours. A one way ticket costs 14 dollars.
  • O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago is about 2 hours by car from campus. To get to South Bend from ORD by public transport, first take the Blue Line Train to Washington Station, then walk over to the Millennium Station to board the SSL.
