Articles addressing this topic are available <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/james-sullivan\/research\/\">here<\/a>. In a separate website, we present updated versions of some of the analyses from this work. This site includes two dashboards: <a href=\"http:\/\/povertymeasurement.org\/covid-19-poverty-dashboard\/\">one<\/a> that tracks income poverty on a near-real-time basis since the beginning of the pandemic (these results are updated each month as new data on household income become available), and <a href=\"http:\/\/povertymeasurement.org\/dashboard\/\">another<\/a> that reports much longer run trends in income and consumption poverty in the U.S. This latter poverty dashboard shows how simple corrections of the well-known flaws in the official poverty measure result in a very different story about how poverty has changed over time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/povertymeasurement.org\/\">Click here to get to PovertyMeasurement<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of my areas of research has focused on poverty measurement and the long run trends in poverty and in the United States.
