The second week of the programme will move to Trinity College Dublin, where the focus will be on the linguistic history and sociology of Ireland. Participants will join a seminar on “The Anglicization of Ireland” with Profs. Peter McQuillan<\/a> and Rory Rapple<\/a>, and attend lectures on subjects ranging from the languages of medieval Ireland to the languages of contemporary ethnic minorities. There will be field trips, excursions, and sessions exploring the language of traditional Irish music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation in Dublin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

While in Dublin, participants will stay on the Trinity College Dublin campus<\/a>, in single rooms in shared apartments with a shared bathroom and access to a communal kitchen. Linens and towels will be provided, and all rooms have full WiFi connectivity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast will be provided every morning in The Buttery<\/a> and a modest food stipend will be provided while in Dublin. Further details regarding the stipend can be expected upon provided upon arrival in Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
