The dorm consists of four floors; the first does not house any residents and the other three are split into two sections each. For example, the east wing of the 2nd floor is 2A and the west wing is 2B. You’re probably thinking “Why does it matter that each part of the floor has a different name?” Well, it’s kind of a huge deal. Many residents develop strong section pride through section football which annually occurs in the fall. Almost all of a students’ best friends are the guys that live in their section during their Freshman year, and they tend to stick together as they become upperclassmen. FYI objectively speaking 4A is clearly the best section.

Another large part of dorm life is Knott Hall’s unparalleled dorm spirit. Whether it’s attending pep rally’s and screaming your heart out to our patented chants, or attending service events in the community; Knott Hall is always full of energy and unity. Central to this is the¬†Hall Government¬†which meets every Tuesday night at 10:30pm in the Chapel Lounge to discuss and decide on events the dorm will put on. The dorm is kept in the loop through our miniature printing press called the Potty Periodical posted 3 times a week in each bathroom stall.
