The NA61/SHINE experiment at CERN is making measurements of interactions that happen in neutrino beams. It operates at the Super Proton Synchrotron at CERN, which produces well understood beams of protons, pions, and kaons. A special feature of NA61/SHINE is it’s ability to make precise measurements of hadrons exiting replica neutrino beam targets. Several members of our group are currently analyzing data from a replica NuMI neutrino beam target, with data that was taken in 2018. We are planning to take similar data using a DUNE replica target in the next few years.
