Spring Clean-Up is an opportunity for labs to discard old chemicals, equipment, and documents. It occurs in March during Spring Break to enable all students to be present (reduced TA responsibilities).
During Spring Clean-Up, hazardous waste disposal is still performed following typical RMS procedure (see link below). Pallets (for electronic/ non-hazardous equipment waste) and large cardboard boxes (for paper waste) will be placed around lab areas (Stepan, McCourtney).

Spring Clean-Up is also a good chance to reconcile your inventory. Inventory reconciliation must be performed once per year.
At the conclusion of Spring Clean-Up, snacks and refreshments will be provided to students.
