Program Costs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in the Master of Engineering (MEng) program are required to pay full-time tuition and fees to the University. Costs for the academic year can be viewed here<\/a>. A confirmation fee of $1,000 is required with a student’s signed Acceptance of Offer to the professional masters program.\u00a0This fee will be applied to the student’s tuition upon enrollment at Notre Dame and is non-refundable if the student chooses not to matriculate to the University.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University requires all graduate students to have\u00a0health insurance coverage.<\/a> At the beginning of each academic year, the opportunity is provided to show proof of personal health insurance coverage. In the event such proof is not presented, the student will automatically be enrolled in the University-sponsored plan, and the charge for the premium will be placed on the student\u2019s account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost of Living<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University of Notre Dame is situated in one of America\u2019s most affordable locations: South Bend, Indiana (and Greater Michiana). In fact, a 2025 report from Niche.com<\/a> ranked South Bend #4 on its list of cities with the lowest cost of living in America (for cities with a population of 100,000 or more). Financial Arrangements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuition and fees, as well as any required deposits, are payable in advance at the beginning of each semester. Please note that Notre Dame does not accept credit cards for payment of tuition and fees. Tuition and\/or fees not covered by scholarship are the responsibility of the student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A student may not register for a new semester or receive transcripts, certificates, diploma, or any information regarding his or her academic record until all prior accounts have been settled in full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
