If so, come on down to the Hammes Bookstore on Wednesday April 1st, 2015, at 7:30 for a blend of imagination (from two poets, and two fiction writers) so intense it spits fire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ae Hee Lee\u2019s<\/strong> poetry draws on fairy tales from across cultural boundaries, and finds the unsettling spirits that live inside our experiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bret Nye<\/strong> is working on a manuscript in which \u201cghost stories\u201d emerge from metafiction and the weight of painful memories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew Pelkey\u2019s<\/strong> writing blends a focus on personal experience and a career in music with urban life, particularly in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nichole Riggs\u2019<\/strong> work is informed by surrealism and a concept of poetry as an artifact of the subconscious.<\/p>\n<p>This reading is free and open to the public.
