During his undergraduate career, Dan synthesized a variety of organometallic catalysts in Dr. Seth N. Brown’s synthetic chemistry lab for two years, publishing his findings in the journal Inorganic Chemistry. From May 2015 to November 2015, Dan worked a student externship for the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division where he assisted in drafting patent applications for civilian inventions developed in US military R&D, including various mechanical tools and devices.

During his undergraduate years, Dan wrote a thesis on comparative aesthetics in existential philosophy under the direction of Dr. Stephen Watson as part of his participation in the Glynn Family Honors Program. He also further developed his artistic abilities through independent study and personal projects, now being skilled in a variety of digital art software.

Besides full English fluency, Dan also brings proficiency in French and a basic familiarity with Russian while currently expanding upon his knowledge of fundamental Japanese.

Currently enrolled in the University of Notre Dame du Lac’s Masters of Science in Patent Law, Dan hopes to graduate in May with his USPTO registration as well as improved patent drafting, searching, and prosecution skills.

Publications:

Inorg.
