It has since become an annual event, drawing students and faculty from all over the Midwest (and beyond) to discuss their latest work in thermodynamics and statistical mechanics in an informal, yet focused atmosphere. Professor Mansoori organized the first meeting, held at Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and the subsequent meeting the following year in 1989. Interested participants have hosted the conference since then. This year\u2019s conference marks the 32nd MTSM Conference in its history.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Welcome to the annual Midwest Thermodynamics and Statistical Mechanics Conference (MTSM), a regional meeting for interdisciplinary researchers in all aspects of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics.
