Board of Directors

Board of Directors

Welcome to the Boeing Board of Directors Specialized Committee, where engineering meets diplomacy, and corporate leadership is tested under immense pressure. The year is 2027, and Boeing, one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies, is facing an unprecedented crisis that could determine the future of global aviation. A catastrophic software failure in Boeing’s latest commercial aviation, the Boeing 797, has led to multiple emergency landings and crashes world-wide, shaking public trust and grounding entire
fleets of Boeing planes. Meanwhile, international competitors, government regulators, and
furious airline CEOs are closing in, demanding answers- and accountability. As Boeing’s top executives, engineers, PR specialists, and legal advisors, your tassk is clear: contain the crisis, restore consumer confidence, and navigate the turbulent airspace of corporate
survival. Will you push for software patches, knowing that they might not be enough or cause greater problems down the road? Do you prioritize transparency, or change the media narrative?
Can Boeing maintain its dominance in the aerospace industry, or will this scandal open the door for Airbus and emerging competitors?
Major stakeholders- the FAA, NASA, airline executives, investors, and foreign governments- are all watching closely. Every decision that you make will have real-world financial, ethical, and geopolitical repercussions.
Fasten your seatbelts. This is not just about business. It’s about the future of flight.
Are you ready to take off?

Chair: Bennett White

Bennett White is a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Strategic
Management and Political Science. He is also a McNeill Common Good Fellow. This is his
second year participating in NDMUNC, as he chaired the Titanic Crisis Committee last year. In
his free time (which is rare), he enjoys long walks on the beach, playing basketball (he’s not very
good), listening to country music (paying homage to his hometown, Knoxville, Tennessee), and
cheering for his beloved Vols (even though they somehow manage to sell everything).
