The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs
Welcome to the Space Jam! – United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), 2050
The year is 2050. Humanity has reached new heights in space exploration, with lunar bases, manned Mars missions, and asteroid mining. But everything changes when Earth receives a mysterious transmission from deep space. No one knows what it says, who sent it, or whether it’s a message of peace or a warning. In response, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) has been created and has called for its first session. It brings together world leaders, scientists, and private space industry figures to
decide how Earth should respond. Will humanity unite to make first contact, or will political tensions and ambition throw us into chaos?
What happens when we respond? With crisis updates and unexpected twists, delegates must navigate the most important question: Are we alone in the universe? And if not, what comes next?

Chair: Sai Vibhansh Sreerama

Sai Vibhansh Sreerama is a sophomore from Bangalore, India. He is pursuing a double major in Finance
and Economics. He’s a big sports fan, passionately supporting Manchester United and Ferrari (even when
they make it hard). When he’s not watching soccer or Formula 1, you’ll probably find him playing FIFA.
Sai started participating in Model UN in his junior year of high school. Since then, he has competed in
multiple conferences and was a member of the Executive Board of his high school’s Model UN
conference. Now, as the chair of the UNOOSA, he’s excited to see how delegates handle first contact with
extraterrestrials, navigate crisis updates, and (hopefully) not start an intergalactic war.
