Although his first love is photography\u2014he\u2019s shot the campus from every conceivable angle\u2014he\u2019s also an accomplished videographer. He has contributed extensively to Notre Dame Magazine and has had his sports photos published in Sports Illustrated, the New York Times and ESPN The Magazine.\u00a0 A fun fact: He wanted to be an Air Force pilot as a kid, but his vision was not good enough.\u00a0 Ironically, his bad eyes seem to shoot beautiful pictures.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Barbara Johnston<\/strong>, University Photographer<\/p>\n<p>Barbara Johnston is a veteran photojournalist whose work has appeared in Life Magazine, People, Newsweek, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Los Angeles Times. She was on staff of The Philadelphia Inquirer for 20 years and assigned to national and international assignments, including 2006 Winter Olympics, Kentucky Derby, two Triple Crown Belmont Stakes, and 2008 and 2009 World Series.\u00a0 She has no fear of heights and has found herself perched on cranes here on campus and on scaffold atop skyscrapers in downtown Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Matt Cashore, University Photographer Matt Cashore took up photography in high school and after graduating from Notre Dame worked as a newspaper photographer and a local television cameraman.
