Notre Dame\u2019s\u00a0MS in Patent Law (MSPL)<\/a>\u00a0prepares scientists and engineers to help inventors get patents.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Representatives from the MSPL will be at The Pennsylvania State University on Nov. 15, 2013. Come learn about careers in patent law and the MSPL at an informal Lunch-and-Learn in\u00a0517 Thomas Building, 12:15-1pm.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The MSPL is a one-academic-year program, at Notre Dame\u2019s campus in South Bend, IN. We\u00a0prepare our students<\/a>\u00a0for practice as\u00a0patent agents<\/a>, through a\u00a0curriculum of hands-on, practical learning<\/a>. Candidates must be\u00a0Patent Bar eligible<\/a>, which means they have a science or engineering background.<\/p>\n

Patent agents<\/a>\u00a0usually work at law firms and at R&D-based companies, where they help inventors protect their inventions by getting patents. Many of our graduates, like\u00a0Kerisha Bowen<\/a>, have gone on to work at law firms in major metropolitan areas. Our graduates are in high demand at law firms across the country.<\/p>\n

If the\u00a0MS in Patent Law<\/a>\u00a0is an option for you, make sure your\u00a0completed application* is submitted<\/a>\u00a0by December 15, 2013! All students who submit complete applications by that date, and who then join the MSPL\u2019s 2014-2015 cohort, will receive a\u00a0$2000 discount<\/strong>\u00a0on their tuition!<\/p>\n

We are also excited to announce that we are expanding our offerings and our locations to better serve more students!\u00a0Starting in the 2014-2015 academic year, Notre Dame will offer a Certificate in Patent Prosecution at our\u00a0Chicago campus<\/a>.<\/p>\n
