ND Class of 2018 Induction Information for Initiates
Congratulations on being invited to join the University of Notre Dame chapter of Phi Beta Kappa! Joining the society is a great honor, and less than 1% of all college graduates are invited to become members. As one of 100 members of the Notre Dame Class of 2018 chosen to receive this honor, we ask that you pay the one-time fee to join Phi Beta Kappa and attend our official initiation ceremony held during commencement weekend. The details of ceremony are as follows:
When: Saturday, May 19th – 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Where: Inductees meet at the triangular lounge on the east side of Debartolo Hall at 11 AM, and the ceremony will begin at 11:30 AM in 101 DeBartolo Hall.
Dress: Business formal (no graduation robes)
If 11 AM conflicts with another commencement event, please try to arrive by 11:15 AM. This should still allow enough time to sign the log book and arrange yourself in the proper order for the ceremony. If you will be unable to make the ceremony, please contact Matthew Dowd.
The event is ticketed, and seating will be limited. Most inductees should be able to have 2 tickets for guests with the possibly of procuring extras depending upon availability. Ticket distribution will likely take place during senior week, and details about this process will be sent via email. Once again, congratulations on all of your achievements and we look forward to seeing you at the initiation!
