Strategies to prevent infection involve using acute doses of narrow-spectrum antibiotics and infection control; the key approach to preventing wound infections is debridement and wound irrigation. Typically, many infections are managed with surgery and antibiotics tailored to the pathogens that are anticipated or identified. There is a need to break the nosocomial transmission within the chain of combat casualty care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We successfully mimicked the nanoarchitecture of antimicrobial viruses (Phages),<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0and clearly demonstrated a nanostructure-dependent antimicrobial effect that will be a viable alternative to traditional antibiotics. \u00a0The 100% bacterial killing rate achieved\u00a0<em>in vitro<\/em>\u00a0has allowed us to carry forward further research to validate these results in\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0wound infection models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reference:[1]<\/strong>\u00a0Yun, H.C metal. <em>Curr Trauma Rep<\/em>\u00a0<strong>3<\/strong>, 315\u2013323 (2017)\u00a0<strong>[2] <\/strong>Tribble D.R. et al \u00a0Mil Med.
