This major milestone marks her official transition to PhD Candidate in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aurelie\u2019s work is at the cutting edge of precision medicine. She is engineering &#8220;smart&#8221; nanoparticles (<strong>Dox-MagSiNs<\/strong>) that act as trojan horses for chemotherapy\u2014staying harmless in the body until they are magnetically activated at the cancer site. By targeting aggressive metastatic cancers like Triple Negative Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer, her research aims to shrink tumors while drastically improving patients&#8217; post-treatment quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are incredibly fortunate to have Aurelie\u2019s expertise in mammalian cell culture and her problem-solving drive in the lab.
