Healthcare insurance will also be extended to the uninsured through the ACA’s regulations of insurance companies. An insurance company can no longer deny coverage based on preexisting conditions. Furthermore, they cannot spend too much on administrative costs otherwise they are forced to return to those who cover in rebates. Companies are also required to extend coverage to children under the age of 26 on to their parents’ healthcare plans. They also can no longer put a lifetime cap on coverage, and the government will tax “high-end” insurance plans.
