This session will introduce the research questions and first findings of<\/em> Envisioning Dante c. 1472-1630: Seeing and Reading the Early Printed Page, <em>funded by the UK government (c. \u00a31 million; 2022-25). Participants will be given practical, hands-on demonstrations of the techniques and new digital tools developed by the project for analyzing and comparing early printed books.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Spring 2026 Exhibition | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.nd.edu\/event\/fall-exhibit-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.nd.edu\/event\/spring-exhibit-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Cultivating Community: Stories from Special Collections<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/rbsc\/files\/2026\/01\/repSpring2026-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/rbsc\/files\/2026\/01\/repSpring2026-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/rbsc\/files\/2026\/01\/repSpring2026-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/rbsc\/files\/2026\/01\/repSpring2026-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/rbsc\/files\/2026\/01\/repSpring2026-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/rbsc\/files\/2026\/01\/repSpring2026-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>This exhibition highlights stories of survival, contemplation, competition, protest, and learning, from six distinct collections in Rare Books and Special Collections. Each section, presented by a different subject curator, focuses on an example of how people over time and in different places, construct community and cultivate hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Curated by&nbsp;<strong>Rachel Bohlmann, Ph.D.<\/strong>&nbsp;(Curator, American History and American Studies),&nbsp;<strong>Gregory Bond, Ph.D.<\/strong>&nbsp;(Curator, Joyce Sports Research Collection),&nbsp;<strong>David T.
