All of us in Rare Books and Special Collections send our best wishes to all the 2018 graduates of the University of Notre Dame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would also like to congratulate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura Neis (ND ’18)<\/strong>, who received an honorable mention in the Senior and Honors Thesis category of the Undergraduate Library Research Awards (ULRA)<\/a> for her senior thesis, \u201cRare Women and True Martyrs: Female Martyrdom under Queen Elizabeth I.\u201d Laura conducted background research for her thesis using resources from the Rare Books collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ed Kreienberg (ND ’18)<\/strong>, who along with Camila Sacher (ND ’19) received the Monsignor Francis A. O’Brien Award for the best essay by a history major.\u00a0Ed conducted research for his essay using the Le Rossignol Correspondence Collection<\/a>, the Dr. George Marshall Oakden Collection<\/a>, and the Humphrey M. Barbour World War I Scrapbooks<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mia Alyse Mologousis (ND ’18)<\/strong>, who won the Joseph Italo Bosco Award for Excellence in Italian Studies. Mia’s research materials included the\u00a0La Difesa Della Razza<\/i> periodical<\/a> in Special Collections Italian literature holdings.<\/p>\n\n\n
