The postings will include highlights from our rich and diverse\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rarebooks.library.nd.edu\/collections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">collections<\/a>, news about acquisitions,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rarebooks.library.nd.edu\/events\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">events<\/a>, and exhibits, our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rarebooks.library.nd.edu\/using\/access.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">services<\/a>, and behind-the-scenes looks at the work of our curators and conservators.<\/p>\n<p>Hesburgh\u00a0Libraries at the University of Notre Dame holds\u00a0diverse collections of\u00a0rare and unique materials\u00a0that range from <a href=\"http:\/\/rarebooks.library.nd.edu\/finding\/manuscripts\/ancient.shtml#BABYLONIAN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a Babylonian cylinder<\/a> from the reign of\u00a0Nebuchadnezzar II\u00a0to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeanpierrehebert.com\/ivc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jean-Pierre H\u00e9bert&#8217;s\u00a0<em>In Visible Cities<\/em><\/a>\u2014a twenty-first century artist book that meshes\u00a0the poetry of Italo Calvino with data landscapes generated from computer code based on\u00a0the artist&#8217;s interpretation of Calvino&#8217;s writings. Our holdings include manuscripts, archives, rare books, periodicals, photographs, artist books, ephemera, and other materials with particular strengths in Roman Catholic Studies, Medieval Studies, Irish literature, Italian literature, Latin American history and culture, 20th-century Russian history and culture, Botany, and American sports.
