Visitors are welcome to come during any part of the afternoon. At 3:30, there will be a short talk titled &#8220;Joyce, Proust, Paris, 1922&#8221; by Professor Barry McCrea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration is encouraged but not required. <a href=\"https:\/\/irishstudies.nd.edu\/events\/2022\/02\/09\/celebration-100-years-of-james-joyces-ulysses\/\">Read more and register<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spring exhibit <strong><em>The Word throughout Time: The Bible in the Middle Ages and Beyond<\/em><\/strong> is now open and will run through June. This exhibit, curated by David T. Gura (<em>Curator of Ancient and Medieval Manuscripts<\/em>), marks the 75th anniversary of the University of Notre Dame&#8217;s Medieval Institute. Tours are available for classes or other groups, including K-12 audiences, <a href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/?view=cm&amp;fs=1&amp;tf=1&amp;to=dgura@nd.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by request<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current\u00a0spotlight exhibits both feature materials relating to the centenary of James Joyce&#8217;s <em>Ulysses<\/em>: <em><strong>100 Years of James Joyce\u2019s Ulysses<\/strong><\/em> (January &#8211; April 2022) and <strong>David Lilburn&#8217;s <em>Eccles Street<\/em> Print<\/strong> (January &#8211; February 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>All exhibits are free and open to the public during <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/rarebooks.library.nd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>business hours<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please join us for the following event being hosted in Rare Books and Special Collections: Wednesday, February 9 at 2:00pm &#8211; 5:00pm | Celebration: 100 Years of James Joyce&#8217;s&nbsp;Ulysses.
