In conjunction with the performance, our course in Dance History, COTH 321, has focused upon the art and life of Duncan and her great contemporary, Sergei Diaghilev. Of special significance to the production is the setting, based on the revolutionary design concepts of Edward Gordon Craig (1872-1966). Craig and Duncan had an enormous personal and artistic influence upon each other. Although they never actually collaborated together on a production, they often spoke of such a venture. Our production unites their work for the first time.

Source(s) Original program courtesy of Frederic Syburg.
Sean O’Casey Festival

Play Title: Cock-A-Doodle Dandy

Author: Sean O’Casey
Dates Performed: December 1982
Sponsoring/Producing Organization: ND/SMC Theatre
Venue: Washington Hall

Artistic Staff

Directed by: Reginald Bain
Cock/Portrait Design: Eddie Moreno
Light Design: Steve Watson
Choreography: Kathleen Maccio
Tunes by: Sean O’Casey
Add’l Music by: Reginald Bain, Jr.

Cast List

The Dancer: Kathleen Maccio
Michael Marthraun: Paul Clay
Sailor Mahan: Jack Arends
Shanaar: John Clay
Loreleen: Mary Link
First Rough Fellow: Eddie Moreno
Second Rough Fellow: Bill McGrath
Marion: Bridget Baker
The Messenger: Kevin Finney
Lorna: Mary McDonough
Julia: Denise Blank
Father Domineer: Dan Devine
Woman with Hat: Bridget Dolan
The Sergeant: Mike O’Keefe
The Bellman: John Preston
The Lorry Driver: Mike Good
One-eyed Larry: Tom Bertsche:
Chorus of Villagers: Cathy Best, Christine Costa, Bridget Dolan, Mike Good
Susan Hamilton
Musicians: Reginald Bain, Jr., Laura Bain, Sharon Bain, Martha Lorber

Production Staff

Technical Director: Eddie Moreno
Stage Manager: Anne Marie Finch
Lighting: Steve Watson
Light Board Operator: Joan Quinlan
Follow Spot Operator: Thomas Schwarz
Property Coordinator: Diana Butler
Costume Crew: Desiree Eartley, Alison Yurko, Laura Bain

Notes

Source(s) Original program courtesy of Frederic Syburg.
Directing Class Finals
Production Title: An Evening of One Act Plays
Dates Performed: December 1982
Sponsoring/Producing Organization: ND/SMC Theatre
Venue:
Dunelawn
Author: Terrence McNally
Director: Desiree Eartly

Cast List

Ruth Benson, R.N.: Carol Cisauskas
Becky Hedges, R.N.: Lyndy Webster
Mr. Ponce: Kevin Carrigan
Mr. Blum: Chip Denkovic
Mr. Iamadoro: Carlos Baeza
Bruno: Charlie Brady
Hugh Gumbs: David Barber
Dr. Toynbee: Joseph Dolan
The Terrible Congflagration up at the Place
Author: Ray Bradbury
Adapted/Directed by: Paul Clay
Stage Manager: Ann Marie Finch

Cast List

Narrator/Casey: David Palladino
Lord Kilgotten: Chris Sayre
Nolan: Dan Devine
Blinky Watts: Rich Lynch
Rriordan: Edward Konrady
Timuity: George Vogrin
The Respectful Prostitute
Author: Jean Paul Sartre
Director: Randy Kelly

Cast List

Lizzie: Lisa Fujawa
The Negro: Charlie Dobson
Fred: Jay Dunlap
John: Bruce Novotony
The Senator: Roland Kelly
The Ugly Duckling
Author: A.A.
