{"id":1398,"date":"2012-06-13T10:28:21","date_gmt":"2012-06-13T14:28:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.nd.edu\/thecc\/?p=1398"},"modified":"2012-06-13T10:31:34","modified_gmt":"2012-06-13T14:31:34","slug":"news-and-congratulations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/thecc\/2012\/06\/13\/news-and-congratulations\/","title":{"rendered":"News and Congratulations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1399\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.nd.edu\/thecc\/files\/2012\/06\/Corinne-Christine-Roche-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I thought I&#8217;d share some personal good news with readers, and also give a shout of congratulations to one of our contributors- Lucas Sharma.<\/p>\n<p>First, I wanted to brag about my new niece&#8211;\u00a0Corinne Christine Roche (pictured with her mom)- who was born last Monday. \u00a0She weighed in at 8 lbs. 1 oz, and both mom and baby are home now and doing well. \u00a0According to Andrew and Yoli (the new parents), she is sleeping very well (which has left Jen and I very jealous).<\/p>\n<p>Second, I wanted to congratulate Lucas Sharma on being accepted by the Oregon Province Jesuits. \u00a0Lucas told me that he will begin the novitiate in\u00a0LA in August.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0They are blessed to have him. \u00a0In fact, in his e-mail, he indicated that he was currently down in LA for ordinations&#8211; maybe he will post some pictures for us on the CC.<\/p>\n<p>Lucas, we will keep you in our prayers and \u00a0hope that you will do the same for us. \u00a0Anytime you want to check back in at the Catholic Conversation with a post, you are welcome to do so. \u00a0Keep us updated! \u00a0Thank you for answering God&#8217;s call to grow deeper in your own vocation. \u00a0We need priests and religious who can witness to the transforming power of Christ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I&#8217;d share some personal good news with readers, and also give a shout of congratulations to one of our contributors- Lucas Sharma.
