\u201cDante\u2019s Other Works\u201d 2015:\u00a0A Celebration of the 750th Anniversary of Dante\u2019s Birth<\/h4>\n

In 2015, the 750th anniversary of Dante\u2019s birth, and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the\u00a0William & Katherine Devers Program in Dante Studies<\/a>, the William & Katherine Devers Program in Dante Studies and Italian Studies at Notre Dame will host a celebration of the poet\u2019s so-called \u201cminor works\u201d with a lecture series and a publication.<\/p>\n

The series will take place on eight Thursdays throughout 2015, beginning in January and ending in November. Twelve prominent scholars from the US, Italy and the UK have been invited to deliver lectures in the series. Each lecture will address one of the \u201cother works\u201d by presenting the principal interpretive trends and issues relating to the text and focusing on some of its aspects of particular interest. In conjunction with the lecture series, Notre Dame University Press will publish a \u201ccompanion to Dante\u2019s other works.\u201d<\/p>\n
