We provide 4 types of service for tissue procurement . (A) Tissue banking: Using comprehensive IRB protocols approved by Michiana Cancer Research Consortium, University of Notre Dame and local hospitals, we prospectively collect tissue remnants of all major types of cancer, perform appropriate processing, data collection, quality control and storage. Distribution of such materials to research end users is subject to approval of tissue usage committee at Harper and IRB at related entities.(B) Tissue collection for principle investigator-initiated projects: PIs do the paperwork geared to the need of their specific projects, get proper funding and use the samples at their own discretion. (C) Space rental: As our capacity allows, we provide cryogenic space in liquid nitrogen and mechanic freezers for short or long terms storage of tissue and other type of specimens. (D) Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded materials: We collect de-identified FFPE materials with exempt protocols.
