{"id":39,"date":"2017-09-06T06:42:50","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T10:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/tvcomedy2017\/?p=39"},"modified":"2017-09-07T03:45:23","modified_gmt":"2017-09-07T07:45:23","slug":"symposium-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.nd.edu\/tvcomedy2017\/2017\/09\/06\/symposium-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Symposium Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Cultures of English-Language TV Comedy symposium is a go!<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the University of Notre Dame&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/international.nd.edu\/global-gateways\/london\/\">London Global Gateway<\/a>, the event will begin on 16 November at 6pm with a keynote address from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uea.ac.uk\/film-television-media\/people\/profile\/brett-mills\">Brett Mills<\/a>, Senior Lecturer in Film and Television Studies at the University of East Anglia. The keynote will be open to the public (registration info to come) and followed by a reception and then dinner for the symposium participants.<\/p>\n<p>Symposium papers will be delivered on Friday, 17 November. The day will begin at 8:30 with introductions, and at 9 we will start the first of four panels, with breaks for coffee\/tea and lunch. We&#8217;ll wrap up the event by 4:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>The invited participants and their paper titles are listed below, organized into panels.
