However, early theories, inspired by superfluid helium, suggest a fundamental connection between topological band structures (momentum-space topology) and topological magnetic textures (real-space topology). Their interplay could give rise to exotic phenomena otherwise not possible. The goal of this workshop is to foster discussions on these topics by bringing together experts from both fields, paving the way for a more transformative and interdisciplinary research direction.

Register Now

Invited Speakers

Achim Rosch (University of Cologne)

Charu Datta Pathak (Argonne National Lab)

Christian Pfleiderer (Technische Universität München)

David Mandrus (Tennessee)

Emilia Moroson (Rice)

Fehmi Yasin (Oak Ridge National Lab)

Ivar Martin (Argonne National Lab)

Kai Liu (George Town University)

Kateryna Foyevtsova (Notre Dame)

Linda Ye (Caltech)

Liuyan Zhao (Michigan)

Morten Eskildsen( Notre Dame)

Rob Moore (Oak Ridge National Lab)

Sang Wook Cheong (Rutgers)

Satoru Nakatsuji (University of Tokyo)

Shan Wu (Santa Clara University)

Shuolong Yang (University of Chicago)

Stefan Blugel (Peter Grünberg Institut)

Taylor Hughes (UIUC)

Yi-Ting Shu (Notre Dame)

Venue

Jordan Hall of Science, Rm 105 – University of Notre Dame

Map from the workshop venue to the hotel: Link

Agenda/Schedule

Please find the agenda here: Agenda

Organizers

Nirmal Ghimire (University of Notre Dame)

Igor Mazin (George Mason University)

Collin L.
