Work Experience
06/2018 – present Product Security Engineer Intern at GitHub Inc. – San Francisco CA, United States
At the Product Security team I am working on building new security features for GitHub and services.
08/2017 – present PhD Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame – Indiana, United States
My research focuses on IT Security, Networking Systems and Big Data. GPA: 4.0
02/2017 – 08/2017 Software Engineer at SoundCloud Ltd. – Berlin, Germany.
I am part of the engineering and infrastructure team working on building and maintaining SoundCloud’s backend and micro-services for user authentication and authorisation experience.
09/2016 – 01/2017 Research assistant at Fraunhofer Institute IPK (Produktionsanlagen und Konstruktionstechnik) – Berlin, Germany
At Fraunhofer I work at Security Technologies research group focusing on machine learning techniques for image/video analysis, pattern recognition, person re-identification etc.
04/2016 – 06/2016 Software engineer intern at Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions GmbH – Reutlingen, Germany
Supporting software test automation for BCDS’s Active Parking Lot Management system and Transport data logger (smart package delivery condition monitoring system) projects. Controlling robots for acceptance test of these projects with Python and C++, part of the agile software development process using tools such as GIT, JIRA, STASH, Conflunce, Jenkins
05/2014 – 09/2014 Engineer Intern at Bosch Power Tools, Lawn and Garden – Stowmarket, England
I was part of the engineering team working on the development of Bosch’s new robotic lawn mower Indego S. My main tasks include evaluating system concepts; new implementation of the safety system (tilt sensing, lift-up sensing); field testing for obstacle detection; wiring the new hardware prototype, working with marketing and QA to select new mower components, and with electronic suppliers for technical assessment of ICs
06/2013 – 09/2013 Research Intern in Control Engineering, Technische Universität Kaiserslautern – Kaiserslautern, Germany
I was selected by the prestigious DAAD RISE program and worked for Lehrstuhl für Regelungssysteme at TU Kaiserslautern on the Project “Vibrationskontrolle eines flexiblen Roboter”, where I simulated three systems using Matlab/Simulink: pendulum, moving pendulum and inverted flexible beam, designed and implemented sensor data fusion algorithms and an estimator for angular velocity estimation at the tip of the robotic arm. Verification of the implementation was done in lab.
