It recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, strong character, and a passion for advancing the aerospace field. Founded in 1953, SGT now includes over 30,000 members across nearly 50 collegiate chapters. Each year, the University of Notre Dame chapter invites a select group of aerospace engineering students who not only excel academically, but also show a commitment to using their talents to make a positive impact on the world. Once inducted, members hold this lifetime distinction associated with scholarship, integrity, drive, and achievement.
