6. Post Trip Assignment

Goal: In your post trip assignment, we would like to you address this essential question:
“How does the physical habitat of a stream influence the biotic community of organisms that lives in the stream?”
Format: You have two possible ways to address this question:
A. Text format – a brief scientific write up based on your sampling experiment.
B. Multimedia format – communicates similar ideas, but using images, video, audio etc.
Audience: Consider the potential audience for both formats to be members the South Bend Izaac Walton League, i.e. not necessarily biologists, but those who would be familiar with stream ecosystems.
Submission: Your project report (whichever format you choose) should be posted to your lab notebook within 48 hrs of your stream trip. The project report is worth 5% of your total grade.
