A. Stream report – Text Format

Following your stream field trip, complete a brief summary of your habitat survey experiment in your lab notebook. Please use the following template:
Introduction:
- Which two habitats did you select to compare? Why?
- What did you predict might be different about the invertebrate communities that you would see in the two habitats
Results:
- Attach or embed a copy of your macro invertebrate data sheet. (Here is the electronic version if you would prefer to upload a clean copy: macroinvertebrate data sheet 2014 pdf)
Discussion:
- Examine your data. Do you see any differences between the two habitats? How does this compare with your predictions?
- If you observed a difference between the two habitats, why do you think this occurred?
- If there was no difference between the habitats, why do you think this occurred?
Implications:
- Based on your survey and general observations, describe one feature that is important in supporting a diverse macroinvertebtate community in a stream ecosystem.
