College of Science, University of Notre Dame
The University of Notre Dame’s College of Science generously supports the I-SEE Camp. The College of Science is housed in the Jordan Hall of Science on Notre Dame’s campus, the same building in which the academic portion of the program will take place.
The Notre Dame Center for Sustainable Energy works to find sustainable and affordable energy solutions and supports energy-related education. ND Energy proudly supports the I-SEE Camp.
Energy and Sustainable Development
Energy and Sustainable Development and Sustainable Design research lab is new to University of Notre Dame. This ESD research lab was created by Dr. Mechtenberg and currently has ten undergraduate students doing transdisciplinary research in physics, engineering, entrepreneurship, sustainable design, electricity and health care, and chemistry. ESD leads this ISEE-Camps.
Empower Energy Design is a NGO 501(c)3 company founded by Dr. Abigail Mechtenberg. Empower Energy Design started in Uganda, but is also collaborating with professionals in Tanzania, Nigeria, Liberia, and Haiti. This is an energy education, engineering design, and entrepreneurship R&D focused program.
